Clean It Up Poem by Pete Crowther

Clean It Up

Rating: 5.0

When we walk down the road at night
past all the houses with lighted windows
and no curtains drawn, you like to look in.
You say that’s why people leave their curtains open
because they want other folk to see
how well off they are and what good taste
they’ve got, but i always turn away
and refuse to look in. I don’t know whether that’s
just being old fashioned and polite
or whether i don’t like being manipulated,
that is, if you are right, anyway
i like to keep my eyes open
for dog shit left lying on the path.

Yes but Peter, you must remember to support Bacteria too because sometimes it's the only culture some people have (which probably includes the people who leave their curtains open as well) . Nice poem and good read Thanks Gyp's
