Claudina Poem by Francis Duggan

Claudina

Claudina has brown eyes and dark wavy shoulder length hair
With a charming smile she's one of beauty rare
But sad for the young men she is leaving the town
In the big World out there to seek her renown,
Claudina is twenty near the prime of her life
The type most young men dream of as their ideal wife
But at present of marriage she does not have a plan
In fact in her life she does not have a man
A beautiful songstress so melodious to hear
She plans for her future a singing career
The town will be worse off without it's young rose
And may good luck be with her to where-ever she goes
With those who know her fond memories of her will remain
And her Hometown's loss will be another town's gain.
