Circumstances
Circumstances viewed from a distance, are at that instance, consistent with the persistent opinion existent at that juncture, but in no way represent the present facts presented by evidence at hand.
Circumstance is a transient happenstance with minimal substance and one is ill advised to form substantial decisions on the subsistence of evidence gleaned from such chance observations.
Many carry prejudices, foreclosed positions, and manufactured consent to disastrous consequences due to wanton disregard for empiricism.
