Christmas Spirit Poem by Lycia Harding

Christmas Spirit

When you catch the Christmas spirit,
spirit it away some where,
where there will be loved one's near it.
It will be so happy there.

There! Against the Northern light,
light as air, in reindeer blow.
Blow now too, with all your might!
Might that help them through the snow?

Snow flakes, loosened as they land,
land beneath each cloven hoof.
Hoof prints, left right where they stand,
stand out when they go, as proof.

Proof of life is with us here,
Here, wife, put the kettle on...
On this eve of warmth and cheer,
cheer with me, those come and gone!
