Christ The Rope Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Christ The Rope

Rating: 5.0

This world is full of evil crime
Where man has but one hope
Where each has got a hill to climb
And Jesus is the rope

Life’s route is not an easy one
Devils are all around
Although we walk with Christ God’s Son
Trouble; may still be found

No bed of roses every day
No stone-less even path
Still Jesus is The only Way
To flee the coming wrath

“Life won’t be easy Jesus said –Rev.2: 3
That isn’t why I came –Mt.10: 34
So many yet may live in dread
When free of all your shame”

For each! May have a cross to bear
A burden drenched with pain
Christ said, His love He’ll come to share
When once we take the strain

To make it hard to Heaven’s door
The devil tries so much
Both day and night hell’s beast will roar
But Christ is still in touch

No matter what this life may bring
However much we cry
We must be true to Christ our King
Who’ll help us if we try

Christ speaks to all with birth anew
Who in His name are free
“I’ve overcome; and so will you –Jn.16: 33
If you remain in me”…
