China Doll With The Thin Glass Heart. Poem by jade Slatyer

China Doll With The Thin Glass Heart.

I am your China Doll that sits on a shelf marked 'Here'.
Neglected and collecting dust with a single solitary tear.
Left all by myself in the quiet and alone for the most part.
With no one and nothing to talk to but my fragile thin glass heart.

But those who read this and blame my owner please listen close
I am a willing China Doll and love my owner the most.
When he does take me along for the ride when i am not on the shelf
I am dragged behind him hand in hand talking to myself.

It is not that he doesn't love me.
It isn't that he doesn't care.
It is most often that he doesn't know.
or is just not aware.

I am dropped and broken often.
From the promises he cant keep.
I am almost always left alone.
When awake or even asleep.

But as I said before I am a willing China Doll.
Loving him unconditionally and ready to fall.
Ready to fall and Ready to Break.
Because i love him this i am willing to take.

Because I am a willing China Doll
There is one thing you need to know
That i will always tell you whereever you are
I made the promise and it shall be so.

You can know that I will always love you and that
No matter how many times you drop me
No matter how many times i break
I will sit on this shelf marked 'Here'

And 'Here' i shall always Wait.
