Child Inability: To Dreams Aspirations Goals Success Poem by Terence George Craddock

Child Inability: To Dreams Aspirations Goals Success

in needs desires dreams
seeded in heart's aspirations
aspired to vision goals;
our lives are dressed in shifting phases
desiring time changing differing things
we pass through phases of silence
desiring an unknown name;
this is often in child teenage youth time

when we have time to grow if supported
sustained allowed time to grow;
the child may desire moments
of attention fame especially if devoted
parents dote upon spoiling the child;
later the attention fame game takes

on a serious tone when adult responsibilities
intrude in the nature of financial security
health wealth bills a need to provide basics
shelter food clothing for family children;
now fame success takes on a sometimes
dire serious tone; phases of mood mind ability
laced with conditions of pay educational talent
abilities make a fame name game front centre

in certain lives; cultural capital poverty
wealth need greed now play out
in an adult life; opportunities securities
promotional advancement create
gaps of salary; management or wage slave
barely making a living or failing arenas
