Cherry Blossoms Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

Cherry Blossoms

Perhaps it was the great Chinese poet Tu Fu
who bade farewell to the rituals of court
and retired to sip wine with cronies
at the ramshackle inn by the river
that flowed past his village
below blue mountains
covered with snow
ages ago!
