Chasms Of My Mind Poem by Alison Mary Dunn

Chasms Of My Mind

Rating: 5.0

I wish I had a sound bite in my head
Extrapolating all my thoughts unsaid
A true form of myself
The soul of me
A deeper image of the one you see

For here there is a sun about to set
An ocean spilling volumes still unread
Where multiples of images unfold
A gallery of testaments untold

If only I could capture what I find
Blowing through the chasms of my mind
These flowing streams of thought that never cease
Relentless in their path with no release

Inside me there’s a poem just for you
If only you could hear it like I do
An ode within a sound bite
Sent with love
A delicately feeling spoken dove

To soar above these seas and troubled skies
Where journey’s harboured dreams have lived and died
These hidden vibrant colours breathe in time
Just blowing through the chasms of my mind
