Charms Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Charms

Charms
Thou’st look
What majesty!
Needs no gems
Or knick-knacks
So sweet itself
Temperament
A fairy or butterfly
Having had
Jolly company
Conclusively
Feel privileged
And living
In illusion.
Beauty
Not proper word
For thy fairness
Heaven too
Lacking in
Such charms
Red cheeks
With rosy lips
As pleasant
A lotus
On the surface
Intoxicating
Eyes entrapping
As if designed
With a motive.
An excellent
Propensity
Of icy coldness
Tranquility
A deep view
Perfect character
Of wit and wisdom
So passionate
And ardent.
As if Itself
The Creator
Created
Such a genial
Mortal frame
Having might
Aptly mused
To bless
Or compensate
Humble servant
With such a coy
Blushing damsel.

O’ God thanks!
Thanks a lot!
For gifting one
And only one
Of its kind
A gift to me.
