Charlie Poem by Jacqui Broad

Charlie

Tidal waves don't beg forgiveness,
crashing to the shore.
The cycle of life carries on,
your voice is no more.

Rainbows still appear in the sky,
and songbirds still sing.
It is just your shadow that is gone,
the sadness it bring.

The photographs and memories
is all I have left.
Like a thief that is here and gone,
it leaves me bereft.

Oh, to see you smile, one more touch,
aching for what is gone.
An empty chair, an empty room,
words left out a song...

hi Jacqui, I never thought i'll ever read another poem by you after his passing. The footprints he left in your will never fade, so he will always be a part of your life. A sad poem beautifully scripted. Siya_! !
