Chameleon Days Poem by Martins Akhoeneto

Chameleon Days

You said she was down to earth
Mannerly bright and free from graven dirt
You lied, yes! you lied
Because a brimfilled of negatives she hides
In her old disceptive face of grey
Deep beneath her chameleon days
