Celebrartion Poem by Samuel Achaka

Celebrartion

Rating: 2.5

It raised up higher into the sky,
occupying almost a quarter of the desert,
everything around have no choice than to spin into it,
there is nothing quiet like it,
its beautiful but destructive, the more you flee,
the more it draw you back its like fighting for air with a blocked lungs,
you go through the storms of life,
with a thought of not coming out of the theater alive,
yet you hold on promises every day.
If you can make it through the night there is a brighter day.
But the night seems unending.
Sweating runs freely even though there is a cool breeze,
your feet sore and bleed, yet you kept walking,
even when you fall to your knees,
you began crawling, eyes always in front.
Almost blinded with tears,
as you go through the tunnel,
your heart disappeared,
you became frightened,
your knees began giving away you fall to your belly
but you drag until you gave in to sunrise.
