I shall be up early in the mornings
To sing love melodies to the cool morning winds
The early morning birds will learn the new melodies
As we flood the open vast with songs of love and peace

In the dead of the night, I will sing
As I listen to the lone owl join in the chorus
With the moon blinking bright with joy
Yes, I will make memory of this in my dreams

Waking up to the sound of roaring waters
The mighty Msambabezi snaking through imperious gorges
Hissing against ancient impervious walls of rock
My soul will forever cherish the ancient morning sounds
