Carnal Hunger Poem by Katherine H. Belle

Carnal Hunger

Rating: 3.5

I look into your eyes
And the promise of forever dances
Just beyond the blue horizon of your soul
Your every move
Like waves
Crashing on a distant shore
Ebbing between eternity
And oblivion
Your words
Drip like sweet honey from your tongue
As you make promises that you do not intend to keep
But they satiate me for the night
And my hunger is deep
So I pretend that this is something that can last
As I succumb to your wanting touch
