Caring Less, And Unaffected. Poem by RIC BASTASA

Caring Less, And Unaffected.

the lights do not
amaze anymore,
there is more happiness
staying in the
cozy room where one can
be alone and silent,
long walks at night
can be just memories,
beer and sausages, and
dances of tango, and
camaraderie in those
pubs, stories and lots
of stories about other
people's miseries, or
joys,
not anymore, not anymore,
the universe has changed,
the center has
transferred in the heart,
of myself,
oh, i guess all those years
have mellowed me down,
going indoor, deeper into
the labyrinth of the
soul.

must i add, that perhaps,
i have matured.
caring less, and unaffected.
