Care Most Of All Poem by David Harris

Care Most Of All

Rating: 5.0

When we are young
and are asked what we want to be
when we grow up.
Some don’t know
how to answer
that question at all.
Some say a Doctor,
a Lawyer, a Policeman,
a Fireman or such.
However, how many say,
I want to be like my dad,
stand straight and tall,
or girls like their mother,
pretty and caring.
Why is when children
are asked what they want to be,
they tend to forget
the most import people
in their lives.
They go for
the glamour and glitz,
forgetting the most important bits.
They look at professions
they hope will bring them fame,
when they should be looking
at those who care most of all.

It takes wisdom to care, to hold the hand of another and let them know your there, wisdom comes with age they say, it's never been truer than it is today...10
