Canadian History Poem by katelin offord harper

Canadian History

Rating: 5.0

the war around us
the blood and screams
of those around us

tears start to streak my face
the agony of the bombs
being dropped

the thought if i was
alive then and
being apart of it

tares my insides apart
i cry as i watch
the clips of the war

it saddens me
that we all had to fight
and have a war

but now
we are
all right

Excellent poem depicting the horror of war and it's explicit feelings and emotions that it elicits from each person. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn

Wow! I felt that I'm really in a war, and trying to prevail freedom, perfect.
