Can We Believe? Poem by Sandra Feldman

Can We Believe?

Rating: 5.0

What hides behind,
Tenebrous shadows?
What does the mind
Perceive as true?
When we read
What has been written,
How can we really know,
What's meant to brew?
For language,
Even for the writer
Reflects, not always argument,
Ambiguity in language,
Never totally absent.

I love this! I have been thinking about it a lot lately - the ambiguity of language. Misunderstandings caused by it. And sometimes I'm deliberately ambiguous. Let people think what they like!
