Can'T Stop Marriage From Mid Air Poem by Venkatesh Raghava

Can'T Stop Marriage From Mid Air

A thread millowner in the morn hurriedly boarded a Boeing in chennai
Fellow passenger asked why he breathed heavily
He said, 'I have to be in Coimbator by 10
To teach the villain of verses a lesson.

When passenger wondered, slowly he started spilling the beans,
His daughter was in love with a poet,
Looking beyond at open skies,
He said, 'How could he give daughter to dreaming penniless poet.

Here is a thread millman, trying to prevent a holy knot being tied,
But marriages are made in heaven someone had said,
As Boeing circled over Coimbator thrice without descending
Since due to bad weather it would fly back without landing.
