Busy, busy, busy always doing work;
You say “yes sir” with that awkward smirk.
Doing what you HAVE to, never what you WANT,
You have become just like Ada, my great aunt.
Working all day, working all night,
Sometimes a 12 hour shift despite
the fact that you have kids to love,
but you never put them above
your duties. You just assume they’re alright
which is causing me to write.
Yeah I’m 15, and can take care of myself,
but I still need a mother in sickness and in health.
These past few years have been like you’re not even here,
because you’re working, sleeping, or out drinking beer!
I hate it when you leave, but somehow I love it too.
It means more freedom for me and less power for you!
So go head stay out as late as possible,
Just don’t expect me to
