Burning Bridges Poem by Poemahontas Poemadonna

Burning Bridges

Now that I know
There's no turning back
I'm letting go
Those who turned their backs

Those who let me down
Woke my spirit up
Bless with a new crown
God refilled my cup

My pain fades to black
Many tears left behind
Fast forward this track
Dry my eyes, don't rewind

I can not recline
And pretend that I'm fine
But I will decline
Anything that's not divine

People's love for riches
Has them stuffing their britches
Same devils and witches
So I'm burning these bridges
