Burdened Poem by Quincy Moses

Burdened

All night he laid awake,
Deep down in his earthly mind was a large quake,
Tears filled his heart but his eyes looked up straight,
Wondering how much more he could take before he breaks,
Trying to connect his thoughts through his veins,
All night he laid awake.

Pain of rejection may be too hard to bear,
Claws of perfection scratching him from his rear,
Intellect of a man but a heart made of iron he had no fear,
He had to show everyone he didn't care
But deep down he wanted to share
Time is running out, his thought reminded him beware.

lovely poem bro, i feel just a bit that the rhymes sound forced which ultimately afect the flow of the poem.
