Built-In Light Poem by Mamunur Rahman

Built-In Light

Light is also built on the vast earth,
all the radiant light is scattered
A deep emptiness in the hearts of the people,
whose huge hearts cry out,
That emptiness is even brighter than the full moon
In white beauty, in poisonous lips,
in the gentle drops of dew, in primitive festivities;
I too am lost in the folds of the clouds flying in the green forest
In the touch of a magician of the miracle of the century,
in the bloodstream of wonder-endless thought-
Even in a dark evening, that light may fade away
from the corner of the eye in a few moments,
I look to the silver moon, to the weary eyes, to that fixed light,
The state of all my thoughts,
which is calm and gentle, makes him my own
Intense bliss spread all over the weary body,
touching through the cotton white clouds.
