POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It was logical to move from C. Bukowski to E.E. Cummings, who also uses almost no capital letters and minimal punctuation, in very free verse. Cummings uses line indentation, typical of open form, while Bukowski keeps to the left margin. To join nine words together, in 'Buffalo Bill'is quite daring. I have Cummings' exact punctuation-no final question mark.
