Bua Poem by Gaurav Mittal

Bua

Even though on this day,
In the eyes of the world you die;
You - my Bua - my second Mother.
Yet, this son, does not cry.
Why? Why do I not cry you ask?
Are you not even worth a tear of mine?
You, whom I always have considered Divine?
No, dear Bua, you are worth my life.
I do not cry, perhaps, because
I have you cloistered in my heart -
Safe, absolutely safe -
Far away from the clutches of Death.
For me you have not died dear Bua.
You live, happy, in this heart of mine,
And shall only die, when I do.
That is why I do not cry.
