Broken Wing Poem by Peter Rhodes

Broken Wing

Rating: 3.5

You once touched the stars
Little broken wing:
You flew so high
That
The Worldwas yours.

You shared dreams
Little broken wing
Of a life together
Always
In the sun.

You passed Seas and Oceans
Little broken wing
Seeing distance as nothing
Between
Souls always together

And then the storm came:
Little broken wing
You hurt so much
Yet
Would not cry.

And now you look up
Little broken wing
And see the skyyou once ruled
So blue
Is black
And far away.
