Broken Spirit Poem by Majdoleen (Maggie) Sukayri

Broken Spirit

I sit here in the dark watching you
As you sleep away into the night
Color has slipped away quietly
Draining all your laughter away
You're being welcomed into the arms of death
You have nothing but will to hold on to
You are an angel of all angels

Dry eyes have long been forgotten
Palms raised and eyes held up to the skies in pairs
We pray for a better tomorrow...

This brings to mind a single thought:

We walk through life blindfolded
Never realizing that Beginnings always meet Ends...
