Broken Promises Poem by keith brown

Broken Promises

You can’t mend a broken heart with a little white lie
Broken promises
Broken promises
We may not fix it but we sure know that were going to try

You tell me you love me,
You’re telling me lies
I’m tired of your stories and your tall alibis

Broken promises
Broken promises
We may not fix it but we sure know were going to try

You tell me you need me
Now show me the proof
Cause we will never know if you don’t tell the truth

Broke promises
Broken promises
You can’t mend a broken heart with a little white lie
Broken promises
Broken promises
We may not fix it but sure know that were going to try

You Keep telling stories I cant understand
We’ll never know if I can’t be your man
Broken promises
broken promises
We may not fix it but we sure know were going to try
