Broken Home Poem by William Mowell

Broken Home

Crying is for the weak
Love is for the poor
Time is for the meek
She'll walk out that door

Lonely is for the broken
Happiness for the rich
Amusement park full of tokens
A heart broken by a glitch

A love has gone by
Nothing lasts forever
All we have is time
To mend the severed

Split in two
Joined by one
The addition is new
The love for their son

Everyday another story like this
Another girl leaves another guy
Love is everything but bliss
So fragile to be broken by a lie
