He walked away as he said good bye
These final words made her begin to cry

With clouded eyes and a broken heart
She watched him walk away
Praying that he would come back
To give her a chance to say

'My dearest friend
I wish to be with you till the end
I love you more than you'll ever know
I wish I could just begin to show
How much I care how much I long for you
I have just one question
Do you love me just as much to? '

After her prayer she hoped to see
Him walking back to hear her final plea
As she waited and saw no one appear
She walked away hoping to hear

All she heard was the howling wind
And figured out
This was the end
