Broken Heart Poem by JJ Evendon

My heart is broken I am lost and in pain
I’ve been through it once and never want it again
Things move fast when you’re happy and good
Long live forever – but will it be understood?
With life so short it can pass us by
So we need to open our eyes, our minds and our hearts before we die
The meaning of life can be measured in one
Time – the movement of our Sun
And the power of love to give it a hand
So when we are hurt we sometimes don’t understand
That if these two are connected from a start
Why our lives, our hopes, can cause it to all fall apart?
