Broken Guitar Poem by Katusiime Jeresi

Broken Guitar

Rating: 5.0

You are so out of tune
a broken melody
a ruthless croon
you are so imperfect
a shattered crust
coated with rust
but the churning Nile cant match
the beauty of the strength in you
gallons of oil, gladly burnt
to have a slice of your nostalgic notes
to unfathomable lengths
we would go
to hold your bridge
you are so out of tune
a broken melody
a soulless croon
but you are our perfect
and no song speaks the unsaid words
of our hearts
unless its from your strings

Totally love this poem, it makes perfect sense to this musician/poet. Love your imagery and how your words speak to my intellect. Logical and illusive, like the sounds of a guitar. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
