Breathe Poem by Mark Andrew Hogg

Breathe

Rating: 3.5

I saw your face, like an angel
And ribbons in your hair;
They burn like fire,
You fly like thunder.

…And ribbons in your hair,
You held my hands up
In the air, and you tied them tight around my throat;
You watch me choke.

I watch you as I’m falling, falling,
Falling for you and
You show me all your brightest colours,
And I love you,
But I don’t even know your name
You fly like thunder…

You’re so honest,
Since my feelings were against me,
You came and took them away.
You’re an angel -
You’re a demon
In my heart
And you’re chasing,
Chasing,
And I’m falling for you,
And you show me all your brightest colours
And I love you.
I love you,
I love you
But I don’t even know your name
You fly like thunder,
And you cry like acid rain.

The clouds in your eyes
part, and sun shines in.
your pain sets the world inside alight
And we are one
And I’ve fallen in love,
Like an angel,
You’re all my demons
I set you apart
And you’re flying,
Flying,
And I’m falling for you
And you show me all your brightest colours
And I love you
I love you
I love you,
But I don’t even know your name
You fly like thunder,
And you cry like acid rain.

This is lovely Mark, I really enjoyed the imagery! Just seen that there is another Unknown - perhaps there's more writing in the genes? *just kidding* Good write. HG: -) xx

I hear the lovely rythm in this and would love to hear the musical wheelbarrow that carries it along!
