Boys Don'T Rule Poem by Heather Cropper

Boys Don'T Rule

Rating: 2.7

You're friends say,
we'll always be there.

Family say it,
it is the truth.

Boyfriends say,
they'll never leave.

Before you know it,
that boy is long gone.

So are you're friends,
because you chose him.

But you're family,
is always there for you.

No matter what,
if you're doing drugs.

Even when you have a problem,
with your friends or you're man.

With your friends,
they are the drug.

With your boyfriend,
he caused the problem.

With all your friends,
that's his fault.

It is also yours too,
kissing him.

Making a decision,
you know is wrong.

Picking the right choice,
makes the others all right too.

Coming home to your family,
all confused and heartbroken.

They tell you everything,
will slowly come back into place.

You know they are right,
they love you more than him.

So why not choose them,
and still get the rest.

You know why,
that can't happen.

So choose your family,
then everything will fall into place.

You'll get your friends back,
but probably not your boyfriend.

Trust me,
I am family.

All the rest is friends,
and boyfriends.

Family comes before friends,
friends come before boyfriends.
