Boy- Girl - Poem by Danya Qattea

Nails bitten through nervous habit.
Children running as fast as a rabbit.
Children laughing through nervous joy.
Having stole a brand-new toy.

Perfectionist talking in excited tones.
Friend sighs over the phone.
Ballerina does a perfect swirl.
Ending with a little twirl.
Bows down.
A flashing pearl.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I was listening to a song on a bus with a friend and it some of the lyrics stuck out to me. I used words from the song that I remember in this piece. Not telling what the words are though, so don't ask ;)
