Born To Love Poem by Kristinahh KIMBER

Born To Love

with each simple beat i gave him my heart
he took it held it with both hands
he grasped it oh so tight,
i smiled through its fight
it hurt.

with his hands he tightend the grip
drowning out its humble beats
i saw them slip
through his fingertips
far away

he tried with all his might to catch them
as they flew into the moon
his feet softly swayed
as he attempted to play
with love.

he did not mean to break those beats
but instead of tears he smiled
my tears taste sweet
as if i faced defeat
letting go.

I wish i hadnt held so tight
and i wish i couldnt cry
i close my eyes
to the back of my mind
finding tears.

I forgive and i will forget
time will suduce my sorrow
making it leave
so much easier to retrive
hard love

i die now for, shot with no bruise
only a shot in the heart
this grip did hurt
and cant find a cure
for heartbreak
