Born To Hit And Run Poem by Dorsey Baker

Born To Hit And Run

Baby I love you
and I'd rather stay
but I know
I've got
to be on my way
because I wasn't born
to stick around
Baby I was born
to hit and run
can't let no grass
grow under my feet
because I wasn't born
to stick around
Baby I was born
to hit and run

I've got traveling on my mind
baby you look so fine
but I've
got to hit the highway
I've got to
move on down the line
Baby I'm gonna miss you
because we had fun
but I've got to go
Baby I was born
to hit and run!
