Body Of Whiteness Poem by M.L. Emmett

Body Of Whiteness

Rating: 4.0

A body of whiteness clean linen wrapped,
a feasting ground to nurture life,
your future journey is plotted and mapped.

Colonies of fearless ants march and trudge
cold roads of sinew and membrane,
worms wriggle and writhe in the bloody sludge.

Oceans of electrolytes will flood free,
seas of your once self tidal flow,
your energy pulses the sapling tree.

Forget-me-nots shall thrive between the stones
that pave the grave where you dear lie
and honest rot shall pare and pick your bones
