Blue Green Eyes Poem by Ketan Hukare

Blue Green Eyes

An empty rose in an empty vase
With searching eyes seeking craze
An empty vase in an empty room
An empty bud waiting to bloom.
Two blue green shallow eyes
Fixed at the beginning of a great demise:
Two souls which would once attract
Now just be pair of bodies caught in the act.
Smiles helping hide invisible tears,
Honest insecurities, and bottling up fears.
"How did it happen? ", wonder those eyes
Would it ever work, given the number of tries?
Empty vessels with crooked skin
As scales fall off, shallow from deep within,
An applaud they hear from hollow skies
"We are victims of our love's demise"
