Over the years growing up we were told 'blood was thicker than water'...
Which usually meant if family, friends, neighbors were out of order..
We were to be that eye, that ear, that hand...
To build them back up in their down to help them once again stand...
Even if it took more than one intervention...
They were never separated from the family never more to be mentioned...
In our daily travels we are all to be one big family...
Such as when you see a true homeless person how compassionate will you be?
Or if you get the chance to cross paths with a veteran who served his/her country...
How much honor will you allow them to see...?
Even a elderly person who needs help at the door..
Will you be the one their waiting for...?
To show respect for their wisdom and take time to listen to the life stories they have to share...
Be mindful to others no matter what ethnicity, sex, religion...
always take care....
For we know not what they are going through...
And who knows that person needing help may one day be you.
