Blinded Poem by Tiff Murphy

Blinded

Cloaked in dark the midnight fog surrounds me,
I watched,
Mascara's melted down my face,
I watched,
My heart pounding threatening to stop
I watched,
Stomach flutters in a dizzying rage,
I watched,
Eyes meet from a short distance away,
I watched,
Bony arms entangled you,
I watched,
Lips upon your lips,
I watched,
My life slowly running out,
I watched,
Moonlight glistens off of the droplets of blood,
I watched,
Our love drowned out with the teardrops of a thousand angels,
I watched,
You did not see,
I watched,
You lied,
I watched,
Always my fault,
I watched,
Daggers thrown into my heart,
You never saw,
Suffocated by tears,
You never saw,
The color of crimson,
You never saw,
My pale body crumpled onto the ground,
You never saw,
But I saw it all.
