Birds Poem by Kelvin Rush

Birds

Birds can fly anytime they like
Anyplace anywhere day or night
No future no past no need to know
Happy carefree it's all part of the show

Birds can sing anytime they like
Anyplace anywhere day or night
Anyone can listen friend or foe
A universal chorus it's all part of the show

Birds can eat anytime they like
Anyplace anywhere day or night
Fat bellied pigeons greedy and slow
Grazing all day it's all part of the show

Birds can shit anytime they like
Anyplace anywhere day or night
Leaving a mess wherever they go
Endlessly shitting it's all part of the show

Birds can get angry anytime they like
Anyplace anywhere day or night
Flapping their wings toe to toe
It doesn't last for long it's all part of the show

I can watch the birds anytime I like
Anyplace anywhere day or night
They raise me up when I'm feeling low
They're always there it's all part of the show
