Birch, the black bear, is on a roll,
Rolling his plastic boomer ball
With all his body, mind and soul,
Enjoying the fun of it all.
Birch is very persistent at
Keeping the ball within the bounds
Of the path in the habitat,
So the ball would make bouncing sounds.
It is a lovely spring time day
For Birch to be playing his game,
Keeping the ball bouncing in play,
Thanks to Birch and his awesome aim.
Through the Covid phenomenon
Care at Lincoln Park Zoo goes on.
