Beyond
In my journey through the universe
I saw and met the beautiful, awesome, mundane and diverse.
A coal black sun which functioned as ours
Except it was up for days, instead of hours.
Hosts riding down a beam of light
Just like a commuter train going home at night.
There were all types and classes
Just like us; some of good breed and some; as horse's asses.
The hosts departed at their stop but the beam continued on
A beam that was as wide; as it was long.
Hosts who looked young and some reflected dreary
Others happy, with only a few, looking teary.
