Between The Lines Poem by Dyhanara Rios

Between The Lines

I’d build you a snowman in the summer
(Although I’ve never even seen it snow) .
I’d carry you across the Atlantic Ocean
(More than three thousand miles, I know) .
I’d do anything impossible just for you
(Whatever you want, whatever you say) .
I’d leave this room if you asked me to
(Like how you kicked me out the other day) .

If you smile, my smile will be twice as wide
(Even if I had the worst day ever) .
If you listen, I’ll talk to you and confide
(You’ll be my best friend forever) .
If you can, you should read all my poetry
(I adore you, half or more of it is for you) .
If you read between the lines, you’ll see
(Just how much you mean to me) .
