Belligerents Have Come To Aggravation Poem by Liza Sud

Belligerents Have Come To Aggravation

Belligerents have come to aggravation.
Tenacity of decency to show
is not the way for causing altercation,
Though we are silent - it's a latent brawl

Of love. My bland voice caused infatuation.
Between us there were no taunting words.
We were deriving high gratification
And Dicken's speech has come in unctuous drops.

Your banter and my rapture - this admixture
let's make at last hilarious and bright.
Let it be not a sad and boring lecture
that turns a minx in shaggy porcupine.

The time when I belaboured you with pummels
and dashed at you with acrimonious words -
you, the strong-minded woman with high valour,
have used for our benefit and growth.
