Believe It Poem by Jeri Martindale

Believe It

Believe me when I say this,
I do not believe you...

Talk to me now,
Lie to my face,
You actually thought that I believed you
now didnt you!

Put me down and walk away,
You can't afford me now anyway,
I cure with age and will be more valuable
As I push on.

Take me for granted, it's okay,
I mean everyday when you awake and moan and shake,
so great, exactly who do you think makes you feel that way?

Believe me when I say this...
It doesn't matter, you won't listen anyway.

Stand there on your pedistool,
Give your acceptance speech.
I turned the mic up for you so that
no one could hear the words you just said.
