Belief Poem by djemoi talbi

Belief

I don’t want to be limited by these four
Listen, see, taste, smell and nothing more
Feeling is what does open, to me, the door
I seem satisfied, but the desire of my mind wants something more
If those four cover the roof; these last should tile the floor
It’s not superstition; it’s real with no concrete proof

Yet … that’s why we call it belief
You don’t have to see the wind
You need, only, a light movement from a leaf
If senses satisfied your mind
Faith, for your soul, is a relief
