Being Cold Isn'T Fun

Rating: 4.8

Being cold isn't fun
You're safe in your own little shelter
But it still hurts
You think you know what you want
But inside you're lonelier than lonely
There's nothing but the gloom.

Detached, but longing
For something you're afraid to have
Wanting, but dare not admit
For fear they would ridicule you
Or how the boys might let you down
And break your heart into the tiniest pieces,
Even the geniuses cant fix.

You want to surrender
But you act tough anyway
'We must laugh at man to avoid crying for him'
So you fool yourself
You tell all your friends:
'I like being alone on a Saturday night;
Nothing beats it! '

And they're probably at the cinemas now
Or bowling with their precious ones
Holding hands,
Confiding and trusting -
Something you cant seem to do.
Opening up isn't you expertise;
You know it,
I know it.

And its late at night
And you wanna call somebody
But you cant,
Cause u dont want them to think youre needy
And you wanna have a walk in the rain
But you dont wanna be seen alone.

So all the lights off
Youre going to bed early tonight
And you wanna cry,
You need to cry,
But no its not possible.
You cant,
my love,
Cause you're immuned to pain
Crying is for weak people.
(You dont want to be one of them) .

And i hate to break this to you
But you,
my love,

You're cold.

Cant feel,
Cant express,
Cant love.

Distant,
